Hello Culture Digitally Community!  Zizi Papacharissi, one of our esteemed contributors, has taken on the editorship of the open access journal Social Media and Society. Tarleton Gillespie and I, along with other members of our community, are on the editorial board and have made contributions to its inaugural issue, here.  We thank Zizi for her leadership and vision in researching and publishing on topics that are important to all of us.  Whether we work in the academy, industry or enjoy being informed about important elements of digital culture, we think this journal will be a great contribution to our knowledge base.   It’s open access so have at it!
